Boze! Ja nemam kom' reci
Pa gnjavim kad nevolja krene.
Ja sama — zaboravih Tebe,
A Ti — je l' sjetis se mene?
Ne dodjoh zbog sebe dovle,
Drobni me teret ne muci;
Carsko Ti prinosim srce
Sto nemam snage ga vuci.
Srce sto u svojem nosim,
Kojeg me slama tezina;
Cudno — i teze — kad ode,
Je l' za Te strasna sirina?
Savior! I've no one else to tell —
And so I trouble thee.
I am the one forgot thee so —
Dost thou remember me?
Nor, for myself, I came so far —
That were the little load —
I brought thee the imperial Heart
I had not strength to hold —
The Heart I carried in my own —
Till mine too heavy grew —
Yet — strangest — heavier since it went —
Is it too large for you?
Redentore! Non ho nessun altro a cui dirlo —
E cosě disturbo te.
Sono quella che ti ha proprio dimenticato —
Ti ricordi di me?
Non, per me stessa, vengo fin qui —
Sarebbe un fardello di scarso peso —
Ti porto il Cuore imperiale
Che non ebbi la forza di trattenere —
Il Cuore che serbai dentro me stessa —
Finché il mio troppo pesante divenne —
Ancora — che strano — piů pesante da quando l'altro se ne andň —
Č troppo grande per te?
Emily Dickinson
