The son answered:

                                         "I saw that we have a dog at home, but they have four.
                                   We have a pool that reaches the middle of the garden, but they have a creek that has no end.
                           We have imported lamps in our garden, but they have the stars.
                   Our patio reaches to the front yard, but they have a whole horizon."
 

When the little boy was finished, his father was speechless.

His son added, "Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are!"

Jednog dana bogatas povede svog sina na putovanje.
Zelio je pokazati sinu koliko ljudi mogu biti siromasni.          
Provedose dan i noc kod izuzetno siromasne obitelji.                     
 
Vracajuci se, putem otac priupita sina: "Jesi li uzivao u putovanju?"                                                                                                      
   "Ooooo, da!" odgovori sin.                                                       
"I sto si naucio?" upita otac.                                                                                                      

                   Sin odgovori:

                                             "Spoznao sam da mi imamo kod kuce psa, ali oni ih imaju cetiri.
                                                       U vrtu imamo veliki bazen, ali oni imaju zaljev kojem se nevidi kraj.
                                                               Nas vrt obasjavaju svjetiljke iz uvoza, ali oni imaju zvijezde.
                                                                         Nase imanje doseze do ograde, ali njihov je cijeli horizont."

Kada je to cuo, djecakov otac je ostao bez rijeci.

Sin je nadodao: " Hvala ti tata sto si mi pokazao koliko smo mi siromasni!"

         One day a very rich father and his son took a trip to the country.
   He wanted to show his son how poor people can be.
They spent a day and a night in the farm of a very poor family.

           "Oh Yes!", said the son.
"And what did you learn?" asked the father.

       When they got back from their trip the father asked his son,
"Did you enjoy the trip?"
